Chronicles of Elysium: The Shattered Crown
A non-linear isometric narrative RPG featuring deep moral dilemmas, 45+ hours of branching storylines, and a complex systemic faction ecosystem.
Project Overview
Chronicles of Elysium is a story-driven isometric RPG set in a grim techno-magical universe. At the heart of the story lies the collapse of an ancient dynasty and a fierce three-way faction struggle for hegemony over primordial ether currents.
Core Scope & Responsibilities
- Worldbuilding Bible & Cosmology: Authored 180+ pages of master lore documentation spanning dynastic timelines, geography, sociology, and techno-magical laws.
- Main Story Architecture: Designed 5 mutually exclusive campaign endings with 28 pivotal narrative bifurcation points.
- Interactive Dialogue Systems: Wrote and structured over 120,000 words of branching dialogue in Articy:Draft with skill checks and psychological disposition tracking.
- Trilingual Cultural Adaptation: Supervised nuance preservation and cultural metaphor mapping across English, Russian, and Chinese markets.
«Every decision in Elysium leaves an indelible scar — not just on the protagonist, but on the living sociopolitical ecosystem of the realm.»
Key Narrative Systems
-
Systemic Faction Reputation & Rumor Mill: Player deeds in one territory organically cascade across neighboring regions through traveling bards, black-market merchants, and diplomatic missives.
-
Unscripted Deductive Quests: Every investigation features at least 3 alternative resolution paths without artificial quest markers — deductions rely purely on world logic, witness cross-examination, and physical clues.
